Why I Work at CAMHS

Children and young people are going through a time when they can’t control what’s happening in their lives very much. They are also supposed to follow a lot of rules. I think that it can be a very hard time. I think that children, young people, families, and carers deserve a chance to tell their stories, understand themselves and each other, and work toward a better life.

My Skills and Interests

I do different kinds of therapies with people, where we work together to understand what is going on for you, and go for a goal together. We might talk, we might draw, we might use our imaginations. We could create a way of telling your story and experiment with dealing with difficult things in new ways that are safe, manageable and work for you. Sometimes I talk with groups of people like teachers, social workers, and carers, to work out together how we can do our best for someone.

The most important thing is that whatever we do is the right thing for you and your situation.

A Bit About Me

I love going to see bands, going to the cinema, crocheting, weaving, knitting, watching funny cartoons, and gaming. I like to get out to the countryside and be around nature, and I also like to be a part of the community where I live. I am scared of spiders and wasps and I wish I could have a dog.
